COVID-19

Protecting the safety of our residents and staff is our highest priority during this challenging COVID-19 period, and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are taking full precautions to keep COVID-19 out of Gracevale Lodge. These include:

• Additional daily cleaning: Extra hours of deep cleaning every day for frequent sanitizing of all common areas, equipment and amenities
• Our staff: Our staff wear a mask at all times, and are fully trained in infection prevention and control procedures, and proper use and disposal of personal protective equipment
• Sanitizer: Sanitizer is available throughout the premises, and residents are encouraged to wash and sanitize their hands frequently
• COVID-19 symptoms: Our staff and residents have their temperature taken daily. Staff do not attend the premises if they experience or are exposed to potential COVID-19 symptoms. Any residents who display potential COVID-19 symptoms are immediately isolated in their room
• Social distancing: We are currently not scheduling large group activities, but are maintaining our small group activities where our residents can enjoy their interactions together while sitting apart
• Visitor access: Family and friends are encouraged to visit their loved ones using Zoom or Facebook, and we support and assist our residents with these technologies as needed. Face-to-face visits must be pre-booked (one visitor at a time). Visitors have their temperature taken when they arrive and must wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times
